Dear Reader,
Imagine being bitten by a spider and receiving all new super hero powers. This is what happens in the movie The Amazing Spider-man, written by Stan Lee, movie adapted from the marvel comic The Amazing Spider-man. This movie
deals with spider bites, DNA, villains and superheroes. In the real world today
we see people with a lot of bravery. We also see people fall in love, and their
parents try to stop their children’s relationships. These are two key parts in
this movie, but are also found in real life.
In the Amazing Spiderman, we learn a lot about good vs. evil, villains. This can
relate to real life, because the theme of Spider-man is good always prevails,
and this applies in real life as well. The genres we will be doing for villains
are a power point, naming the top 10 villains of spider-man, and a timeline that
shows the steps to how he received his powers. Another huge part of this movie
deals with DNA. Human genetics, and lizard genetics. Dr. Conors, the evil
scientist had been working his whole life trying to figure out how to get his
arm to grow back. During this process, he turn himself into a giant lizard, and
starts to use his powers for the evil side. This relates to real life, because
scientist in real life work very hard trying to find new scientific human
improvements. For this, we will be doing a Venn diagram comparing spider-man and the lizard, and a cause and effect showing how one event in the movie led to another. The third and final topic is
spider-bites. One spider-bite changed spider-man’s whole life, and that’s how
it all started. As he learned how to master his powers he became a better super-hero. For this, we will be making a list of directions of what to do if bitten by an ordinary spider. Also, a tutorial on how spider-man created his special webs.
In conclusion, The Amazing spider-man is not just a super hero movie. It has many lessons, and its theme (good always prevails) in itself is a strong life lesson.
Also, true love can get through anything, and never forget…
With great power, comes great responsibility
Sincerely,
Nate Woods
